Sustainable Strategies to assist BC Hydro with the renewal of its multi-million dollar Power Smart 10 year plan

Vancouver, BC – Sustainable Strategies Inc. has been retained by BC Hydro's Power Smart group to help renew its multi-million dollar Power Smart 10 year Plan. Sustainable Strategies' considerable experience with demand side management strategy and implementation was key to it securing the assignment.

Primary responsibilities will be providing strategic advice to Power Smart management and helping to develop, analyze and coordinate business models and justifications for individual sectors and programs. In responding to the assignment, Sustainable Strategies President, Dave Edwards, said, "Given BC Hydro's leadership position in the industry with respect to developing and delivering demand-side management programs, we are extremely pleased to have been asked to provide assistance."

The project is expected to run through the end of 2003.
